I love photographing maternity sessions. It boggles my mind that the average pregnant woman doesn’t walk around feeling like a goddess (when I think she looks like one). I’ve been hugely pregnant twice now, and it wasn’t until a very talented fried of mine photographed me pregnant that I actually *felt* like a goddess. That moment of looking at a photo of myself and saying “wow I look really good” is what I strive to give every pregnant woman I photograph.
I’m all about the bump at a maternity session, but I love incorporating family members (siblings, husbands, partners, pets). I love long flow-y skirts, bare bellies, and a lot of personality.
These images show my ‘style’ of maternity portraits. No stiff poses and saying ‘cheese’. No selective color with baby blocks, or tying a big bow on the belly…that’s not my style and I won’t even entertain the idea of doing it. If that is truly what you are wanting then there are plenty of other photographers out there doing that. I’m about showing off just how gorgeous you are and how amazing it is that you are carrying life inside of you.
Maternity sessions are only for clients who book a newborn session with me.
